Additional Ranch Information

LODGING
Lodging and meals are provided with most hunts. Our accommodations include a ranch house in Sutton County that will comfortably sleep six. It has heat and a/c, VCR and TV and a quiet atmosphere over looking the ranch. In Menard County, we have a cabin style lodge over looking the San Saba River. It accommodates six people and has heat and a/c along with a beautiful view of the river.

THE HUNT
After settling in at the ranch house, all weapons will be checked prior to the hunt. Several types of hunting methods will be used depending on the hunter capabilities and performance. Elevated and ground blinds overlooking right-of-ways, fields, flats, tanks and feeders will be used, as well as, calling methods such as rattling and spot and stalk hunting. Expect to see a large number of deer and turkey each day. Hunting is serious business, as well as, being exciting, dramatic and relaxing. We will work hard to provide you with a rewarding hunting experience. If for some reason by the end of your scheduled hunt you were not presented with the opportunity to harvest an animal for your type of hunt, the balance paid upon arrival will be returned (applies to fully guided hunts only). Your decision to pass on an animal your guide feels fits your hunt is considered an opportunity. All arrangements for game processing and shipping are the hunter's responsibility. Meat may be donated to several local charities or processes in both Sonora and Menard. Capes and birds may be prepared at processing for shipping to your Taxidermist for their fee or at the ranch for $25.00 each.

THINGS TO BRING
Snake boots or leggings, binoculars, camo facemask, gloves, outerwear (Both for warm and cold weather), camera, boots, flashlight, weapon andammunition, a valid Texas Hunting License (Available in both Sonora and Menard) and of course, a positive attitude.

AIRPORTS
San Antonio International is the closest major airport. A 2 1/2hr drive along I-10 West will get you to Menard or Sonora. American Eagle service comes in and out of San Angelo's Mathis Field where pick-up and drop-off can be arranged. Sonora Airport services private aircraft.

BOOKING A HUNT
Once dates are arranged by phone or email, a deposit of 50% is required to confirm your hunt. The deposit is nonrefundable due to any change or cancellation unless it is made 45 days prior to your hunt. You will receive a conformation letter after the dates are set and the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due upon arrival, payable by cash, cashier's check or credit card. We also require a release of liability form to be signed upon arrival.
